Lauren Almquist is a community herbalist, gardener, and landscape designer. She is known for empowering people to create outdoor spaces that support their vision.
From a magical, abundant garden or backyard sanctuary, to a community plot design or a shared public space, Lauren works with people to design and create what their heart desires.
Most of what she has learned has come directly from experience with plants, elements, and spirit. Learning by doing and being present with plants in the garden is what she loves the most. She studied folk herbalism and plant spirit healing for three years at the Gaia School of Healing in Vermont, and studied permaculture design through the Resilience Hub in Maine.
She collaborates with community organizations like the Boston Food Forest Coalition to expand access to nourishing and medicinal plants, creating space for individuals and communities to connect with plants, the earth, themselves, and each other.
